Most Cohousing activity in the Chicago area is Prairie Onion Cohousing, a group commited to intergenerational and diverse cohousing, minimal environmental impact, strong ties among residents, and interaction with the larger neighborhood. They aim for affordable units and will use the legal structure of the condominium development.
